Horror movies have been a constant in my life for the better part of twenty years. Motivational as well as inpirational, horror flicks tend to cover all the bases. From the absolutely terrifying, to the campy and downright comical, horriffic slasher films and gory exploitation romps have always been entertaining to me. When I first start watching anything from this genre, it's easy to tell if the movie is going for a realistic approach or throwing all logic to the wind. Most of the time, my favorites tend to be the latter. The more supernatural, the better. To me it makes everything a little bit cooler if there aren't really any rules or boundries that the flick needs to play by. This isn't always the case, but, more often than not, that's what gets me. I don't necessarily have to be scared either, as long as the ideas are crazy or original enough to keep me entertained, and it doesn't feel like I've seen it a thousand times...I'm a happy camper.
On that note, these films are some of my favorite (and most entertaining) horror masterpieces that I can watch over and over again, enjoy. - Dick Starr Night of the Creeps Shaun of the Dead Evil Dead 2 & Army of Darkness Saw 1, 2, & 3 Dead Alive Feast Hostel 1 & 2 Monster Squad Final Destination 1, 2, & 3 Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Slither All of Romero's Living Dead series (including 2004 remake of Dawn) May Creepshow Halloween 1, 2 & 4 both Tales From the Crypt movies Return to Horror High 28 Days Later 28 Weeks Later Scream Nightmare on Elm Street 1-4 Cabin Fever Poltergeist Idle Hands From Dusk Till Dawn Freddy Vs.
